My Painting Journey

Weborg Lodge Studio began its life in 2002. My inspiration was the lovely film, Enchanted April. In one scene, a character is doing a plein air watercolor painting to relax and enjoy the beautiful Italian landscape. It motivated me to buy my first set of watercolor paints and begin a journey of creativity and joy. I’ve never looked back since that time.

Becoming Self-Employed

A wise man once said, “The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The second best time is today.” I always wanted to be a writer. One day, I decided to plant that tree.

Realizing Dreams Come True

My freelance career began as a watercolor artist. I started Weborg Lodge Studio in 2002. The business has flourished. My paintings are in 36 out of 50 states and in six countries around the world. In 2009, I began my writing venture.

Life as a Professional Writer

Being a writer has been the most fulfilling thing I’ve ever done. The independence of making your own path through life is exhilarating. It’s not without its challenges and obstacles. But at least they are ones I’ve chosen to make.

Colonel?

My husband, Norm and I, worked for several years on a restoration project at Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. For our efforts, we were awarded the State of Kentucky’s Colonel honor.
